Shuttle Sidebar
Just created a little sidebar extra to display the remaining Space Shuttle launch info. As you probably know, the Shuttle fleet is scheduled for retirement in 2010, so these are the last shuttle flights we will ever see. Due to a number of issues, there's little chance of ever seeing another spacecraft like this. The fleet is expected to be replaced by the new Constellation system beginning in 2014, which will be extremely reminiscient of the Saturn V rockets used during the Apollo program that took humans to the moon. If we ever see another airframe-styled space vehicle, you can bet it will only be from the likes of Scaled Composites (Burt Rutan) or some other private-sector company.
